The City speed cameras on Rhode Island Avenue from Greenbelt Road to Paducah Road will now issue violations 24/7/365—previously these cameras issued violations Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm.
There will be an initial warning period until June 30, 2023 for violations during the new enforcement hours only. Beginning on July 1, 2023, the City will issue speed camera violations with $40 fines 24/7/365 for vehicles traveling 12 or more miles per hour (MPH) above the posted speed limits on Rhode Island Avenue. With this change, all City speed cameras operate 24/7/365.
