Council Meetings

The College Park City Council meets on Tuesday nights at City Hall. All meetings take place in the 2nd floor Council Chambers at 4500 Knox Road, College Park, Maryland unless otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the public except Closed Sessions. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at 240-487-3501 at least 48 hours in advance and describe the assistance that is necessary.

Council Worksessions are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Regular Business Meetings are on the second and fourth Tuesdays.  Worksessions are non-voting, informational meetings, with no public comment. Regular Business Meetings are the Council’s voting meetings, with several opportunities for public comment. Unless otherwise indicated on the meeting agenda, Worksessions and Regular Business meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. 

A note about parking: When you arrive at City Hall, please obtain a parking pass from the lobby window to display in your windshield so that you don't have to pay for parking.

To Watch a Council Meeting:
City Council Meetings, Worksessions and Public Hearings are broadcast live on Tuesday nights on Comcast Cable Channel 71 and on Verizon Channel 25.  The most recent meeting is rebroadcast on those stations at the following times:  Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m., Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays at 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.
