Public Information
General information is provided by the City Clerk's office. Tune in to Comcast cable channel 71 for announcements of events, Council meetings and work sessions, public hearings, and public service announcements. City news, events and official notices are also provided in the Municipal Scene, a 2-page insert in the College Park Gazette on the 2nd and last Thursday of each month, delivered to every household within the City. Copies of the Charter and City Code may be obtained from the City Clerks office for the price of $200. An updated copy of the Charter and Code in its entirety is also available on line College Park Code Online. City Elections
City elections are held every two years on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November. The mayor is elected at large, and 2 council members are elected from each of the 4 districts for a total of 8 council members. City elections are nonpartisan. Prince Georges County handles voter registration for City elections. Eligibility requirements are outlined in Articles III and IV of the College Park Charter.
